What are you buying?

Described by many as one of the most advanced air bed in the UK market, the Aerobed Luxury Collection Raised Air Bed combines different technologies to get you to the land of nod quicker. True to its reputation, this bed’s quality and feel rivals even standard beds. But I still couldn’t get why they call it the all-in-one until I tried it.

Unlike the regular air bed, this particular one combines a double air mattress to give you both height and increased levels of comfort. The base even extends outward when fully inflated to give the mattress the stability of a real bed.

Another feature that was a must have for me is the built-in electric pump that lets you inflate and deflate the air bed in a matter of minutes. If you’ll be regularly inflating and deflating the bed, then you’ll appreciate the powerful pump.

Now for everyone’s favourite part –the mattress and sleeping surface. The Aerobed Luxury Collection Raised Air Bed went all out with the mattress. But that was expected considering how much I had to cough up for the damn thing.

The upper mattress consists of 40 air coils that have been strategically placed to give users a stable and even sleeping surface. This helps eliminate pressure points for healthy spine alignment and a great night’s sleep. But it doesn’t end there; Aerobed added a soft, flocked surface for that extra touch of class and comfort.

How easy is it to use?

Being an all in one, luxury airbed, the Aerobed Raised Air Bed is extremely easy to use. The thing damn near works itself with very minimal assistance. For such a sizeable bed, it comes compactly rolled up and conveniently packaged in a carry bag for easy transport. Now, while its light enough for one person to carry, four hands are far better than two if you ask me.

Thanks to the built in pump, all it takes is a little under 3 minutes to get the Aerobed luxury airbed fully inflated. The control panel consists of a dial that allows you to inflate, deflate, and even adjust the air levels to get the softness/firmness just how you like it.

The bed is definitely big enough for two adults and can comfortably support up to 272 Kg. The distinct antimicrobial treatment was a nice finishing touch to ensure a healthy, hygienic sleeping experience every time.

Anything else you should know?

Although Aerobed satisfied pretty much all my requirements in a bed, I feel it’s my duty to at least warn you about one aspect that I battled with. I swear, it’s like the manufacturer added an extra layer of plastic smell because it really catches you off guard.

Once you unpack the air bed and inflate it for the first time, there’s a strong smell of plastic that fills the room. The good news is that it faded away within the second week – nothing some scented, perfumed sheets can’t fix.
